Voluntary Precautionary Recall – Consumer Notice of Limited NAN OPTIPRO and NANKID OPTIPRO batches

The safety and wellbeing of children is our absolute priority.

As a precautionary measure, Nestlé Philippines is voluntarily recalling limited batches of its NAN OPTIPRO and NANKID OPTIPRO infant formula products. This is following the detection of a possible quality issue with an ingredient provided by a leading supplier.

While no illnesses have been confirmed in connection with the products involved to date, Nestlé Philippines has decided to voluntarily recall the affected batches out of an abundance of caution and in line with its strict product quality and safety protocols. This voluntary recall is in full cooperation with the Food and Drug Administration.

Only a small number of batches in the Philippines are affected. The products to be recalled and their batch numbers can be found on the website listed below. All other Nestlé products, and other batches of the same products, are not in scope of this voluntary recall.

Relevant distributors and retailers holding the identified batches have been notified, and standard instructions issued to block and remove the identified batches from shelves.

What Consumers Should Do:

This precautionary approach reflects Nestlé Philippines’ uncompromising commitment to product quality and food safety, as well as strength of our quality, traceability, and monitoring systems, which enable us to act responsibly, even in the absence of confirmed health impacts.

We understand this news may cause concern, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We are committed to transparency and are here to support every parent and caregiver throughout this process. The wellbeing of infants is at the heart of everything we do.
